On my 93 I put new ball joints. On the left side the camber went all the way down but on the right the camber now sticks up an 8th of a inch. Ive got the castle nut on as tight as it'll go. Why would one side go all the way but not on the other side.
The camber sleeves are split. The taper on the ball joint stud spreads the sleeve tightly against the knuckle as the castellated nut it tightened.
If you want to close the gap, you need to loosen the nut, tap the stud (carefully to not damage the threads) to unseat it from the sleeve, then drive the sleeve in to close the gap.
For what it is worth, mine too are one flush, the other with a gap.
Of greater concern to me was torquing the top and bottom ball joints in the proper sequence. This sequence is in the instructions that came with the ball joints and/or can be easily found by googling them.
This torquing sequence makes sure the ball joint and knuckle assembly is not in a bind, a condition that keeps the wheels from being easy to steer, giving a sense of the truck wondering on the road.
