I am workig on getting the bushings on the front axel changed out. I am running in to an issue though.
When I removed the bushings the springs are tryng to bow outwards making it difficult to get the spring back in to the shackel. is there any suggestions on how to handle this?
What kind of truck are you working of, 250 with the ttbfront end?
When I did mine I fought with it for a long time, triedeverything I could think of and had access to. What I ended up doing is putting a jack under that axle as close to thewheel as possible, under the ball joint / knuckle area, and jacking the axle upin order to compress everything. By time everything is compressed the spring should be really close to popping back into the shackle, I then used a pry bar help it the last little bit. Once the spring is in the shackle its just amatter of messing around in order to get the bolt lined up.
