Cab, door, fender allignment issues
Is the body line from these three supposed the be "linear" or does the fender line supposed to droop down at the grille?
If I make the cab and door (Ford Made) have a beautiful, uniform gap, and then install the "best" keystone aftermarket fenders, to get a uniform gap to the door, the fender bodyline must droop down.
Even then the hood is too high for the fender, YET too low for the cowl.
Now if I raise the fender to it's max travel, I still have to Jack up the core support 2 inches to get a linear body line. (but new the fender pinches the door on top and a big gap on bottom" Suggesting the fender must "droop down")
What is the thickness of an original core support Body mount?
Are mine just compressed too much?
IS the fender body line supposed to "lower, and it heads for the grille?
As far as shims under the core support, I would be careful and look at the fan shroud. Too low and the fan will hit the top of the shroud, too high the bottom of the shroud.
