I'm trying to install cab marker lights on my 2009 F250 regular cab XL so no fancy radio satellite etc. I bought the wiring harness from my local dealer but it has this end with 2-prong plug
When I took the drivers side dash apart all I found was this empty connector
The harness looks to be correct other than the connector, Is there an adapter I need? Am I looking in the wrong area? I followed this great post for a 2008 figuring the 2009 would be similar. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...l-writeup.html
Any guidance is much appreciated. Thanks much
Never mind. The correct connector is tucked up out of sight facing the opposite way. It can only be seen by removing the headlight switch array and peering through that opening with a flashlight but its there and the wiring harness has power. Now to go drill some holes in my roof!
Wow, I remember when I went to the store , bought my lights, and spent my time running wires and pulling apart harnesses to find the right wire. OK, OK that was back in the early 70s' when you bought a truck and waited 5-7 weeks for it. It came with a heater and an AM radio......... Or was that in the 60's.. A connector,,, wow..
