Exclamation Help with wiring 08 towing mirrors in 03 Ex

I already looked through the two threads in the tech folder and can't find what I need. I bought 08 towing mirrors on ebay to install on my 03 Ex. I have the wiring diagram for the new mirrors so I know what function each color wire is, but the wire diagram they provided for 02-07 trucks doesn't match my colors. I originally had power/signal/heated paddle mirrors that were then replaced with towing mirrors from a similar year super duty. Those connectors were plug in play to my original, the only thing I never wired was running lights.

Any help you can provide is GREATLY appreciated!!!

Edit: below are the wiring diagrams from Alldata. These matched perfectly. Hopefully it helps someone else.

Pop the light out and see what color the wire is going to the bulb. There is a tang on the outside edge inside behind the mirror that releases it.

That won't help me identify which wires are for heat or the power motor.

Unfortunately, I've already seen those threads and none of them seem to have the specific information I need.

The posting in the tech forum has the colors from the door side that matches onto the mirror connector. What are your plans for connecting the old wire harness to the new one?

You will have to do a little bit of work to follow the diagrams to know which color goes to the corresponding pin on the mirror side but most of it is there.

For example the dark blue wire on the door goes to pin #9 on the mirror harness which is left mirror down function.

Did you also have a memory feature on your original mirrors?

No memory function on the originals. Since the connectors for an 08 are different than the 03, I had planned on simply removing the connectors from the mirror and from the truck, and simply splicing/soldering the wires on each door. There really isn't a need for the connector if I can identify the function of each wire. The old connector has 6 wires, the new connector has 7 wires, as identified below in the diagram for the new mirrors. The additional wire is for running lights, which I'll need to wire separately regardless.

I found these on alldata and am going to see if the colors match up. Will let you know the results.

I could never find an exact wire color match for my connector at the door or for the connector for the mirror. That is why my document is focused more on the position of the pin between the connectors.

Also, are you going to use your existing mirror control? If so I hear that somehow the mirror position functions get reversed when using it. Some have gone into the mirror and changed some wires. Others, like me, changed to the newer 08 control.

ok here is what I have for colors. Perhaps you can match the ones that work and guess at the rest. I also tested both the blinker and the defrost functions with a tester on the connector at the door.

Drivers side:
Green/black - Defrost
Black - ground
light green - turn signal
Blue - left mirror down
Yellow - left mirror right
Red - left mirror left

Passenger side:
Green/brown - defrost
Black - ground
white/blue - turn signal
purple - right mirror up
green - common all motors
Yellow - right mirror rightward.
Yellow - right mirror upward

Since my passenger mirror also had the memory function (it contained 15 wires) I also had to split the yellow wire and run it to two different pins. I picked the pins that indicated no memory in the wireing diagram for the mirror side plug to make the passenger side work.

The wiring diagrams I got from alldata were perfect - the colors matched up exactly. I removed the connectors from each mirror and door, then hard wired everything together. The hardest part was feeding wire from behind the headlight switch to each front door for the running lights - a metal coat hanger was my only available option. All lights and mirror functions work as designed. I'll update my first post to include the diagrams in case anyone else is looking for them.

Thanks to everyone who offered assistance.
Now for a couple pictures.
