So I am helping a friend with getting front and rear springs for a v/b code upgrade.
We have been able to get some almost brand new v-codes for the fronts and have come across rear springs but don't know what their spring code is from the numbers.
I know we could look at the label on the donor truck but that is no longer available.
They are from a 2004 F250
Here is a pic - we were hoping someone had the same numbers to help verify the spring code.
I know its almost an impossible task but hoping to get lucky and someone has the same numbers to verify.
I think that those are C codes? In the Superduty tech folder they do have some information on deciphering which is which. B-Code part number is 3C3Z-5560-CB
I am going through the same process trying to find a set myself!
3C3Z-5560-CB is the part number used to order b-codes but it is not necessarily the part number that is stamped onto the springs when pulled from a loaner truck.
I have the feeling that they are c-codes which wouldn't be too bad but if they are something less than a b-code we would be pretty bummed.
Here is a listing of part number and the only one that is similar lists an S and it doesn't have the extra C at the end.
RPN 2483 3C34 CC
2004 Rear Springs — F-Series
B — 3C34-5560-L
C — 3C34-5A975-D
D — 3C34-5A975-G
E — 3C34-5A975-K
J — 3C34-5A975-J
M — 3C34-5A975-E
N — 3C34-5A975-F
P — 3C34-5A975-C
S — 3C34-5A975-C
Those look like B codes with the auxilary spring on top.
If you remove the auxilary spring and block, you will have standard B code rear springs.
You might need to get new, shorter center pins from a spring shop or other seller if you run out of threaded area once the aux spring and block are removed.
Otherwise, you should be good to go.
What's the engineering number painted on the bottoms, if still visible?
Ford also makes an F code with aux spring that look similar, but they are beefier looking than what you have there. The F codes would likely have 6C34-5A975-DA painted on them, which translates to Ford part # 6C3Z-5560-D. If they measure about 4 3/8 inches in the center, they are F codes. If less, they are most likely B codes.
FWIW, you can still remove the aux spring and block and use them on your Ex if they are F codes.
They look like C Codes or a B with a different package. My rears are aftermarket china junk but they are just regular C code DRW springs minus the top leaf.
Do you think I could get the spring code if I got the VIN Number from the owner. He must have a copy of it somewhere. I should then be able to ask for a replacement spring from Tousley and perhaps they could tell me what spring it was suppose to have on it.
Ok, I have been thinking about the question and perhaps as mentioned earlier ....instead of trying to find out what they are can we determine what they are not.
Were you ever able to figure out what springs they were. I just ran into the exact pair and was wondering if they ended up being Bs or Cs or Other...I know this thread is probably dead but it is worth a shot to save a little cash.

What's the number off the spring? The picture won't open anymore. Or, if you can give me the last 8 of the vin # of the truck they came off I can tell what they are.
