Follow up to the update. Went on the first camping trip of the season. Headed south through Massachusetts 495, to 290, and 395 into Connecticut. There is a few grades along that route, nothing like what I encountered along 81, but enough to allow me to put my foot into it with 15K lbs strapped to my back. My temperatures towing are a good 5 - 8 degrees F lower than temperatures I am used to seeing. Recovery from elevated temperatures was much faster. On the flats 200 ECT, 205-208 EOT. Got into the grades, max temp I saw was 220ECT 214 EOT @ 70 - 75mph. Again, my foot was into it. Upon reaching the crest and starting the down ward side, EOT bottomed out at 188 ECT, 200 EOT, and then stabilized at 199 -202 ECT, 205 - 208 EOT.
So Matt Olsen At Sullivan tire in Saugus hit it on the head. Very happy with the way the truck is running.
South Carolina again in June, Williamsburg Virginia in August. I'll be seeing some temperature there! It'll be warm!
