I have a 1963 Ford F250 with 223ci l6 with 3-speed on the tree trans. I need a new tails shaft seal but see there is some leaking from other seals on the trans as well.
The only #s i can make out on the ID tag are H E U 015524. The tail shaft casting #s are C3AR-7A040. Please help with ID so I can get proper seals

Ford type 3.03 3 speed manual all syncromesh transmission introduced in 1963 F100/250, used thru 1986. Also used in misc 1963/80 Passenger Cars, 1966/77 Bronco, 1965/87 Econoline.
That's what this trans is due to the C3AR casting number prefix.
NumberDummy you were the guy I was looking for, thanks for the advice!!
Can you please break down my VIN plate. I am restoring my grandpas F250 he left to me but he was notorious for taking out something messed up and throwing in whatever.

Not a Unibody - they had the bed welded to the cab with no separation in between.
You have what is commonly called a "wrong bed" because the cab lines do not match the bed lines. But, it is original style bed for the pre-1964 trucks, other than unibodies.
Here's a link to some pictures of a Unibody for comparison.
Hey, I didn't say it was incorrect for newer years. I have two 1966 F250 4x4 trucks and you don't think I know they came with a wrong bed? Lol. You'd have to be joking....
I was letting him know the bed was correct for his truck. I didn't figure he gave a **** about what all years it came on. But, maybe he does....
NumberDummy do you have a diagram for the front shocks on my above 63 F250? The shock look to habe no bracket and go through the sway bar(possibly not right term) at an angle lookong hard to replace. Please advise
