Thanks Roy. I'll work on sorting the Maine campground websites today. Will post in your new thread when I get some ideas. I'm going to try and find places that are not only big enough for all of us but also are also north enough that that we won't be staying in MA/north. Down East has a breakover line where it's real Maine vs. touristy catering to mass holes. I want the guys who have never been to Maine to experience the real thing and not 800 million lobster shacks on top of each other full of tourists jockeying for position. Somewhere within driving distance to Acadia and Bar Harbor would be nice too.
Many years ago we stayed near Acadia National Park. Did some hiking and tourist things. Stayed a week. Was very nice until cruise ships came in.

Yes, I've heard you say that many times Dave but in all the times we've been there it's never been a problem for us. So, either you were unlucky or we were very lucky. I would not worry about it...
Nope not worried. If we can handle Disney World at Christmas time, we can do heavy crowds.
My point is you likely won't see them. If you want to see traffic and crowds, drive through Chicago to Dells WI on 4th of July weekend! LOL. This should be a cake walk compared to that. Although, once at the campground, I noticed most of us would rather hang out together as opposed to doing touristy things anyhow.
For the pot luck next year, I'll bring a bunch of lobsters. No one would tell me what to bring this year so I brought a salt shaker for everyone to share. While I did contribute, I think I can do better in the future...
Just looked at cruise. Start in Boston for 9 nights $1273+ per person. Goes to bar harbor as one of the stops. Cruise lines are using Bar Harbor as a stoping point. Got this from Gov vacations rewards.
Thanks for all the great pics of the G2G. We wish we could have been there to meet all of you. We had to put Sophie down late Thursday afternoon. We were very fortunate to have her as a part of our family.
