Good morning gang! Been up since 415 and looking through all the posts of the G2G. Good times!!!!
Gerry, glad you made it home. Man that's a long drive!
Chad, glad you guys are home too.
Sam, hope you and Deb make it home safely.
Traffic wasn't that bad except just north of Nashville. Sat still for almost 40 minutes for a multi-car fender bender, and hit traffic at a bridge in Chattanooga that was having "emergency" concrete work done. The closer we got to ATL, the worse people drove. Never failed to be an Ahole in one of the middle lanes driving below the speed limit.
The outside temp started rising just about the Kentucky/Tennessee line and crept all the way to 96* just east of ATL. Then about 10 miles from home, the rain started and lasted until we got here. NOTHING like getting out in a sauna!!
FUN times with great friends! Gonna try for Maine next year, but will be up to Jeriann's work schedule. Look forward to seeing you guys soon!
Thanks for the memories!
Sorry to be late to the after party. We have been blowing and going since leaving at 5:15 Saturday morning. We drove 14.5 hours to get to Hugo, OK to spend the night with my parents, then loaded up some tools they were storing for me, and headed on home another 5.5 hours. After unloading, unpacking and getting reorganized, it was time for dinner and bed. We were pretty well whupped.
Jodi and I had an amazing time getting to meet the gang in person, and we feel like we solidified some really great friendships. Although I went in "knowing" many of the group, she did not, but that changed very quickly. She loved this trip as much as I did and we are very grateful to have been able to come. We are looking forward to Maine next year and hope we get to go. I would encourage anyone else out there to attend when they can. It was really awesome to put names, faces and voices together with the gang we have known for so long online.

Similar story here. Made it back Monday at 4pm. Dead tired. Had a great time!
Roy, thank you for the organization of such an incredible event. The only way it could've gotten better was if more of our gang could have come. Did you guys make it back home yet, or are you still on the road?
Chad, I forgot to thank you for the compliment on the meats. I enjoy doing them, and am even more satisfied when people enjoy eating them. I don't know if I'll be able to fly any to Maine next year though.
Sam, glad you guys made it back safely. It was great seeing you doing well.
