LN series interior parts interchangability ??
Looks like I will be needing some interior parts for my Louisville I read here somewhere that armrests, door winders, door pads, quarter windows, seals, other bits were shared among other ford trucks and cars.
Can anyone tell me if and what common parts did they use.
I don't think posting my VIN would do any good due to it being Australian built but here goes AL6LSR37698V.
numbersdummy can you post an interior parts view from your data for me, I will pretend Its RH drive.
Thanks in advance
Geoff

I know that most interior parts were shared throughout the Louisville line for many years, sometimes depending on trim level. Regarding L/LN series parts in general, when Ford sold their heavy truck division to Freightliner (creating Sterling Trucks), Freightliner also took over the replacement parts business for all the earlier Ford heavy trucks. Best place to look for new parts here in the U.S. now that Sterling is gone is a Freightliner dealership, particularly one that was formally a Ford/Sterling dealer.

Thanks Louisville joe,
From what I've heard so far they also shared some Ford car parts which I thought might be easier to track down as there is a lot of reproduction stuff available. Here in Australia I've been told they share the F100's window winder mechanism, our local Ford Falcon's door handles and arm rests.
I would imagine Ford America would do a similar thing and use your locally produced car parts for certain interior trim etc needed but I guess your part numbers between car, pick up and truck would not match.
The only way would be to physically check the parts in a wrecking yard.
I was hoping someone could save us Louisville truck owners time if they were aware of the cross reference parts or point us to previously discussed threads.
Thanks again Joe.
