She's Gone....Gone...Gone

I had to sell my Black 1991 F250 4x4 M50D to get ready for the upcoming firewood season. The 302 was just too weak, the gears were too high and the suspension wasn't really all that strong so instead of beating her, I sold her to a guy that seemed to really appreciate her. This truck rode like new and everything worked, interior was near perfect, dash was really nice.

On an upside I found a truck that is more suitable for the job. The White truck pictured at the top is a 1997 F350 4x4 with a 7.3l Powerstroke and a Jasper E4OD Transmission with 4.10 gears. I bought it from the original owner. He took care of it mechanically very well but cosmetically it needs some TLC. I plan to fit it with a dump insert soon. This truck is very strong.

nice upgrade.

them dump inserts are ok but if the load is heavy they wont dump.you know that sucker will pull a dump trailer nicely too.

Yes I know but, I would prefer not to mess with a dump trailer. I deliver wood at a lot of high end crammed in homes on the lake. I have had trailers before and they are good but a stealth dump bed that could handle 6000 lbs would be slick. I know I would have to reinforce the bed but I think that would be the best for me.

I agree with you 100%, having a dump bed is much easier then messing around with a trailer. We have a flatbed dump on our 93, and it so much easier then trying to maneuver a trailer into tight places.
