Just picked up my custom 14k dump/skidsteer trailer I had manufactured and thought I would share in case anyone was in the market for something similar. I'm in construction and do a wide variety of hauling and wanted a highly customized dump trailer to fit all my needs. I found an AWESOME company to deal with out of southern CA which was able to do everything I wanted at a great overall price.
I wouldn't look any further if you need a utility trailer.
Here are a few of the custom features I had built into it:
-Integrated ramps
-Heavy duty 3/16" steel floor for loading concrete
-D rings on the floor
-Custom color
-Shovel rack
-Underbed mesh storage area
-Built in tarp
-Bed locks for loading equipment
-2 outriggers for loading equipment
-Textured wheel wells for slip protection
-Electric jack
-Dual level tool box
That's a nice looking trailer. It's those details that make a huge difference in looking like a pro or a goober with a truck. Having something like that built to suit your needs makes your job easier, safer and you actually save a lot of time. I just bought a 6x12 Hawk dump from a fellow contractor who went out of business for $1000. It needs some welding patching in the bed, it has the full one piece tailgate that I need to cut in half and weld on hinges on the other side to create barn doors, it needs to be sandblasted and painted, things I can do myself, well worth what I paid for it. I like the integrated ramp idea.
good looking trailer! that electric tongue jack is nice,it makes me think about how much of my life i have thrown away standing there hand cranking my trailers tongue jack all the time!
