I am in the midst of finishing my 1964 f100 regular cab. But I'm not sure which carpet to buy. The truck was originally a 6 cylinder, 3 on the tree truck. It has been converted to a 302 v8 but I kept the column shift. Does this mean I have the low or high tunnel? Also I'm adding a few of the custom cab chrome pieces to the cab. Can I use the regular cab carpet kit? Or do I have to get a carpet for the custom cab, as I am installing the chrome step strips.
Thanks in advance guys
I think yours would be a low hump. Measure it and talk to the carpet supplier. It does not matter if yours is a std cab or custom. The only thing is that your carpet will be held down by the aluminum trim at the door threshold that you got from a CC.
Posting link from another member's thread "my soon to be awesome truck" showing a pic of the cab with the 3 speed column shift and the 'low hump' trans tunnel.
Posting pic of carpet in 65 with the 4 speed and although difficult to determine it's the 'high hump', the surface tunnel is higher with a more of a round surface and what I would describe as more of a 'hump'.
