2016 F350 ordering info.
I was wondering what the average time frame is for a ordered superduty. I ordered my truck on 6/16/15 and when I checked with the dealership today, he informed me that the truck has not been scheduled yet. When I ordered the truck I was told that there wasn't any parts shortages that would delay the build. It has been a little over 8 weeks and I got nothing. Any input would be appreciated.

Now that you have a VIN, you can track your new truck on this Ford website
Ford Custom Order Tracking | ordertracking.ford.com
If it doesn't work you can also PM Crystal. She works for Ford and posts on this site as "Ford Service"
She's a wonderful help, and can track your truck for you.

Last year, when I ordered mine, they said 10-12 weeks, I think. But it showed up in like 6, or 8. I forget. After I got the VIN, it wasn't long. They don't give you much feed back when you track it. The status always said the same thing @ Kentucky, and then I got the call that it came in, here in NY. They DID say that mine might be arrive sooner because I ordered a 2WD.

I'm at 10 weeks now and still no window sticker. All I have is a VIN#. If I would have known it was going to take this long, I would have bought something else. I am considering canceling since I have to keep paying people to move my fifthwheel anyway. After this camping trip in October which I am being charged $1400 rounds trip to move my camper, I won't need a truck of this size until next summer. That gives me quite a bit of time to find a nice used one. I don't under stand how an initial promised time frame of 6-8 weeks jumped to 12-14 weeks and now I am hearing longer. How are other people that ordered after me getting there superduty before me?

12-14 weeks for 250/350 and longer for 450/550, and that's just according to Ford. There is a significant delay both in getting caught up from the short '15 model year as well as folks trying to increase stock for the '17 change over. I'm telling my customers not to expect a 450/550 ordered now to come in this calendar year.

There's usually a date towards the bottom of window stickers; this will show you an estimate of your build date based on when the order was submitted. As always, feel free to PM me when you'd like an update on the status of your truck.

I was just talking about this with a rep last week and I don't remember as I talked about too many other things too with him. I think we are about a year out from Job 1 on the 2017. Because of the redesign they would have to cut out early for the 2016, but the date isn't listed yet. I think balance out will come fast and hard this year though because there will likely be a rush of order to keep inventories up, so allocation may become a concern for customer orders. Generally Ford does increase the price of the truck throughout the year, so you can find two identical trucks with different sticker/invoice prices. The rebates do get better as time goes on, but I'd say if you order in the next few weeks, wait your 12-14 for the truck you should see some improved rebates and lock in the lower price. Again it helps if you already have a dealership you like to work with. I'd have no trouble holding a truck for a few days if I expected rebates to go up with a new program for someone I've worked with in the past, or who brought me presents.

On your Window Sticker on the bottom is a date, that is the day the WS was printed, I was informed it takes anywhere from 5 to 10 days before your Truck is built from the date on the WS. Mine was built 8 days after the WS Date.
Then another 18 days till my F350 arrived at the dealership, shipping times do vary.
Continue to check Fords etis page under "Vehicle", this will give you your build date, after your truck is built.
