I ordered a 2019 F350 3 weeks ago on 7/6. As of today there is no VIN or date update in the Ford system, according to the dealer .Getting impatient.
Dealer originally said 6 weeks to deliver but I knew that was not right I expect 12 weeks. I'm guessing I won't see it until possibly early October. Still wishful thinking it would be 6 weeks.
My only rush is that I want to put 1000 miles on it before towing. We are planing some trips in October.
I waited 6 (months) for my 17. I was very impatient. Hang in there, it's not easy, but you'll go bat-sheet crazy checking everyday. I ordered my 19 in May and also have no info. Dealer said 70,000 trucks are being allocated 8/1. If you didn't sign anything with your dealer, go to cargurus and buy 1. I found my exact KR Ultimate, monotone black in Ohio. They were getting me trade in value on my 17 and it sold. Good luck!

OH WELL!
Hey Flyct, ordered mine on 7/9. Dealer put my order in, but said it wouldn't be until Aug that it would go thru, said he had no allocation until then. Told me it would prob be 10 wks before I saw it and that was from the order date of 7/9.
At what point are you assigned a Vin.? And how does one check the ford system for the truck?
AND.. at what point is it too late if you want to add or delete anything?
I am not sharing this to rub it in, simply as a comparison for info.
I guess I am very lucky, I ordered on 7/9 and received the VIN about a week later, scheduled build is the week of 8/20 with a projected delivery of 9/16. I received a report with the VIN and projected build week. Projected delivery based on a recent update from Ford Chat as COTUS apparently will not work on a F350. We will see if the targets are accurate as my only prior experience in ordering was a good bit later than the projections due to transportation delays.
Hopefully we all will get our orders quickly as I fully understand being ready for it to get here. Good luck to all...
I ordered in April and still no VIN. Guess it comes down to allocations and what you ordered. One would think that higher trim levels would get higher priority since they carry higher margins but who knows. I find it sad that I can track a $2.00 item that's ordered on the Internet immediately following order placement yet no one can tell me **** about an $80,000.00 purchase 4 months after the order went in.
Totally agree with the tracking issue, unbelievable... Tracking should be a very easy customer service option. My only way to track status is bugging the dealership or requesting a status update on Ford Chat. Without the VIN, that wouldn’t be an option.
same here. Ordered a 19 a few weeks back, haven't heard a word. 6 months sounds crazy. That would be me so close to the 2020's coming out with the 10 speed, I'd probably tell them to keep the custom ordered 19, just start me over with a 2020 10 speed. And I'll just keep waiting. lol.
Sort of how I ended up with the 2019... I ordered a 2018 on 9/4/17 and with the inflatable rear seat belt recall that truck didn't come in until 4/10/18, around a month after the 2019 order bank opened so I had the dealer keep that for his stock and held out for the 2019. I didn't want to be the tester on the 2020 so once that truck has been proven I will be ready to trade in my 2019.
