remote start?

Does anyone know what this is? I'm thinking remote start.
If it is remote start receiver, how would I know what FOB to get?
I found a module under the dash, there are minimal marking, just a part number. A check of the number on the internet didn't show anything.
Thanks

Typically, they (alarm installers) put alarm systems and R/S boxes behind the fuse box panel (under the wheel). there should be more than just A module...
Sorry I'm not much help.

Could very well be an antenna for remote start or aftermarket security system. Looks a lot like mine...

Thanks for the help, I followed the wire to the fuse panel area. It plugs in to the after market module under the dash. I checked under the hood for a alarm speaker, and no luck there. I will take the module out and look for any other markings on it, and hopefully I can figure it out.
Once again thanks for all the help.

Do you also have an aftermarket key fob on your keyring? It took some messing around with my remote to figure out what all the buttons do, but got the important ones figured out. Good luck, also be sure to check Google images to see if you can match something on there to what you've got.

He doesn't have the remote.

My Viper receiver is just a square-ish box with 2 antennas sticking out the sides like this

Some remote starters use the factory remote. you would have to press the remote 3 or 4 times to remote start it, I set my wifes minivan up that way. otherwise look at the module under the dash and see what manuf. it is from.
