Getting close to on the road, I'm a little surprised at how loud it is, I've had two Cummins w straight pipes, but am starting to think a muffler may be needed this time. We have been running it without any tailpipe in a small garage which probably amplifies it, but...... I'm thinking a 4" pipe and am wondering what kind of muffler anyone would recommend.
subscribing as well, if it were me, id run a 4" straight pipe dumped at the rear of the cab, when you floor it she'll be nice n loud, so if your not one for an exhaust that will **** off the H.O.A. then throw a muffler on there too
I picked up some 4" pipe today, stuff is huge, looks like a sewer pipe, the exhaust will probably just float out of there. I want to see how that sounds first.
I want a turbo, but didn't want to delay any longer, curious is the turbo fed off both exhaust manifolds, never seen one.
There's a cross over pipe that comes from the driver's side manifold and goes into the passenger's side manifold. The passenger's side has an up pipe that the turbo sits on.
or if it is a banks setup the exhaust comes off both manifolds to a "Y" and then the up pipe goes into the turbo pedestal that mounts to the back of the passenger side head with 3 bolts.
