72 Clardy air conditioner question

I removed the brake light switch on my 72 F100 to make changing the master cylinder easier. The guts of the brake light switch fell down into the fan of the Clardy aircinditioner unit under the dash. I need to remove the dash unit to retrieve the part. There is no freon in the AC. How do I disconnect the hoses from the dash unit? Thanks....I will install a 134 freon unit later so the unit needs to be removed anyway....

You may have to disconnect the hoses from the drier and compressor to get enough slack to lower the unit and then discount them from the clardy unit. His is a pic of my 71 Clardy. I just finished installing mine this weekend. Blows cold air.
The 40 year old evaporator was in great shape, replaced everything else though.

Thanks. I just bought a new switch, 10 bucks. The old one was broken anyway when I looked at the new one. Master cylinder is installed. All I have to do is bleed the system and install the new brake light switch. Then, it is ready for the road....

I had recently purchased a truck with a clardy system in it and need to get it working before it it’s 115 here. Are parts available and did you source them? Thanks for the help.
