Removing A/C Unit

Bought this truck a few months ago and im wondering if its ok to remove the installed A/C unit. The compressor has been removed and I honestly do not care to have the unit in the truck. This will not affect the heat will it? Is there a resale demand for these units?

No demand whatsoever. I will be glad to dispose of it for you.

I'm sure there would be someone to take it off your hands for you. It would be more valuable with a working compressor.

I think most folks would opt for a complete new aftermarket system. But sonce that is an original part it might be worth something and worth hanging on to.

I'd be interested in it and everything under the hood for the a.c. system.

That's a Mark IV unit made by Vintage Air it's not a Ford dash unit design.

Mark IV's were originally installed by Sears, Western Auto, A/C shops.

You must live somewhere where it doesn't get very hot in the summertime to want to get rid of it. Here in hot and miserably humid south Arkansas, I'd love to have A/C in my truck.

When I do install A/C, it'll be a modern aftermarket unit but, I'm sure somebody would love to have your setup.

I live in Western NC and it can get pretty hot but i prefer the 2/60 method
