Heyy guys I am the new owner of a 2006 Ford F-150 lariat 5.4 triton.
Just a quick question, something that I was just thinking about.
I live on a island, Cape May in the state of New Jersey. I'm about 3 miles from the ocean and 1 mile from the bay, and my question is, should I maybe wash my truck a few times a month due to the salt air and always being close to the beach and the salt water? Or just hose it down once in a while? , because I know salt water doesn't work well with vehicles.. If anyone could help me out that would be great. But this could also be a dumb question but Im new to the truck world so I was just concerned!
F150 should be no different than any other vehicle in that area. Don't help to get advice for the mid west on how to clean a truck near salt water..... I would talk to locals or dealers on vehicle maint.. If the truck is covered with crap, I would wash it... If you get things wet and they stay wet ( slow dry / high humidity) that can cause rust also.......... depends on the area you are in.......... only experience in that area is needed.
