351w question.

I have a 96 f250 w the 5.8 speed density motor. I have found a complete upper and lower gt40 intake along with everything to convert to mass air minus the MAF sensor. It came off a 96 5.0 explorer. I know the lower intake will not work, but other than that will everything else work? Is it worth the $300 asking price?

The electronics and wiring from a '96 explorer will be OBD2 while your F250 is OBD1, these two systems are not compatible with each other so none of it will simply plug in you would have to replace all under hood wiring and even then the PCM won't cooperate with the trans in your truck.

What trans does your truck have? If it's a manual all you need is an OBD1 MAF computer and meter and a donor MAF harness to pull the injector and meter wiring from, all this you can then add to the existing system on your truck with minimal changes.

That is an E4OD then, the Explorer used a 4R70w so that stuff is no good to you at all.

Not unless they are off a Cobra Mustang. The only OEM cast iron heads to use that are common are the GT40 or GT40P heads.

The Explorer you mentioned in your first post should have a set of either of these two heads.

Then they are most likely have a casting number of "E7" and may be the same heads as on your current 5.8L truck engine. The one thing is they should not be are the better GT40 heads.
