Hey, gang. I have a 1990 m5odr2 and decided to throw some new shifter bushings in the sucker. Murphy's law smiled on me that day, resulting in me removing the shifter while still in gear
Well, now its not going back together. It's stuck in what im pretty sure to be 4th gear and i cannot get the shifter into the gear to get it into neutral. Does anybody have any sort of advice on how to get this thing back into neutral? I am having quite the time with it.
Lifesaver (noun) : a person or thing that saves a person, as from a difficult situation or critical moment
In context:
"Gee, Ed Bamba sure is a lifesaver"
Thanks man, like seriously THANK YOU. You have no idea how much heartache you just saved me!
Lol! Welcome to the forum. Lots of very knowledgable and/or experienced people on here. Stick around and you'll find out who I'm talking about. Oh, and you'll have to have thick skin when it comes to some members on here; they do mean well and you can still learn a lot from them.
Thanks for the welcome. Im usually on the bronco forum, but since nobody would reply there, and i got more frantic by the minute, i had to explore other options, glad i did. I just may be on this forum more often, except for the very limited bronco-specific projects i have lined up
Good now CFoster? I had one of these apart many times for my 92 a few years back. It's pretty easy to set the trans back to neutral with a screwdriver if you know what you're looking at
give a yell if you're still having problems and i'll try to explain it as best i can...
