I finally found a sb zf, one of the early years, 91 iirc. While looking around for parts in preparation of the install, I noticed that Luk gives the option of upgrading to an 11" disc. Is that preferred?
Other questions: Is the Luk brand t.o. bearing/slave cylinder good, well known?
I see that Luk offers a Gold, high performance kit. With 250 max hp in a 4.9 inline, I believe I'll stay with the oem type clutch, possibly the 11", but not the hp model.
I'm concerned with the throw or travel of the clutch/ volume to be moved, since I'm converting from C6 and installing the old dent pedal assembly. Any info here would be great.
It likely requires a 164 tooth flywheel which should be 11 inch a 164 tooth flywheel has the ring gear on the engine side 157 will be clutch side you will have to make something to hold the clutch rod as that is a hydraulic only transmission with a cast on bell housing

Thanks for the info. I have seen owners mod a standard clutch arm for a ZF, but I will be staying with the hydraulic system, installing a clutch master and slave on the clutch pedal.
