August B.S.
I guess there was some weather out there last night. We could see the lightning but no hits in the area. I guess some people got damage, trees falling.
Have to mow the lawn today. looks like a cow pasture out there.
We're just about out of here. Wife and kids left for Minnesota an hour ago, I'll be following them out in about a week. Gonna spend some time with my family in New Hampshire before heading West, I have no clue when I'll be back in this part of the country.
Had some issues with the moving company, but overall glad I'm not the one doing it this time.
My wife's pulling a rental with the necessities needed until our shipment arrives. Here's a sign we need to downsize: that Uhaul is over 5,000 lbs! Empty weight is 1,980, and that means we have too much stuff!
Interestingly enough, the van isn't overloaded at all. She's riding on the stops, but at 2,960 lbs on the rear axle it's 200 lbs under GAWR. Could use some airbags, but at least we shouldn't break anything.
Tom I hope you have a safe trip.
It was great to have you around while you were in CT.
I have the airbags in the wife's Odyssey and they made a big improvement, even in the everyday driving. It has a lot less body roll. They are not bad to put in either.

Good luck Tom, have a safe trip. remember you are only a keyboard away, Let us know how your doing when you get settled in.

Thinking about Bilstein 5100 shocks. Going to be towing a Montana 5th wheeler
with the F250. With airbags and probably 4 inch blocks.

Well it's back to camping, Hope everyone has a good weekend.
The rest of the family made it to Buffalo last night, they're visiting my father-in-law on their way out West. I pulled this contraption to New Hampshire last night.
I'll be going back to the house tomorrow to do some final clean-up and haul some stuff to the dump. Heading West sometime next week.
Went to dinner last night with my son, his wife, and the two grandchildren. The daughter is now in high school and the son will be next year. They are growing up faster then I want them to, means I am becoming ancient. "Older than dirt". By the way there was a 53' Ford pickup in the parking lot that was "cherry". If he happen to be on this sight I would appreciate pictures. A real nice job. So if you were at JD Coopers in Putnam, CT last night. It look like a lot of cash and love went into it.
Will be starting the smoker this morning and slow cooking ribs. My daughter-in-law does not like hot spicy, so I made the rub last night and had her taste it. We made to batches. One mellow and one a little spicy. They are sitting in the refrigerator absorbing all those wonderful dry ingredients.
Hope everyone enjoys this weekend and the wonderful weather.

He just got it on the road recently.
Been relatively busy recently I suppose. Our laptop is also on its last leg, so I don't get on as much as I would like because I tend to get a crash every 20 minutes or so. Having lots of fun with Hannah as well. I'm quickly realizing how much stuff I really need to own to have a useful "shop" in my garage. Lots to do on the truck, but not much to do it with. Oh well. Or maybe I should clarify that you don't have to own them, but it sure makes the job much more efficient, and somewhat more enjoyable. Haven't had the time or funds to tackle anything emissions related, but I need to get around to doing something about the rear springs.

Cleared out the house in Union today, it was hard to drive away. Hard to believe I won't set foot in Connecticut for the foreseeable future. Lots I didn't like about the state, but there are great people here.
