please help
1987 ford f250 4x4 460ci, will not start or if it does it dies 30 seconds later. new carb, coil,efi unit. it has duel tanks so both fuel pumps cant be bad. 99k on truck it was running great shut it off and boom. looking for help and or ideas please..

Stuck float valve in new carb? Kinked fuel line?
If it'll run fine when you shoot some carb spray or starting fluid down the cafrb then its a fuel problem, maybe check for flow at the carb and go from there?

IIRC your carbed truck uses an oil pressure switch in line with another relay to only energize the fuel pump relay when the engine is running. Subford has a diagram somewhere here.

I had to replace both my pumps in my 88F250 efi, both went within 2 hrs, well the gauge aspect. It was more so preventative.
Moral is they can both go relatively close time frame...
But I am also really unlucky like that.
