Back again with E4OD issues
Hey guys, I posted a few weeks back with a transmission issue, the original thread is here:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...y-driving.html
So I'm back with an update. Had a full system flush, filter and pan gasket done at my friend's shop. The transmission hasn't failed yet, it still shifts in the normal ranges. It actually functions normally with no slippage driving it in cooler temperatures (first thing in the morning, on the way home from work at night).
However, driving the truck at lower speeds for awhile and resuming driving on the freeway once fully hot, the transmission is slipping slightly in 3rd and 4th gears.
I have been told by some co workers that a product called Lucas Stop Slip may alleviate the hot slipping long enough to let me save for an overhaul, which is probably required at some point. Have any of you guys used this in your E4OD, and if so, how much? I'm thinking two 24 oz. bottles will do it, let me know what you guys think. Thanks.
