In my 1952 Ford F1 with a 302/C6 transmission and a 9 inch Ford rearend with 3:50 gears, I have installed a new speedometer cable. However the cable does not have the windong gears installed and I will have to buy them separately. My question is do I need a set of speedometer gears for each end of the cable, one that goes in that tail shaft, and one that goes to the speedometer itself? I'm lost on this type of thing. I'm not really sure how many I need, or the tooth count of the gears.
