'90 f150 2wd.I recently got a lock right locker and 4.10 gears. I've already got Lakewood traction bars and spring clamps on the front of the springs. When I do a burnout I get wheel hop sometimes and sometimes I don't. I've got the original leaves and shocks too most likely I'm thinking this might be part of it.
Unless you can break the tires lose and instantly get a lot of wheel speed... don't do that you're just going to break something. Wheel hop is caused by axle wrap which can happen even with traction bars if the leaf springs are too soft... and they often are on these 2wd trucks.
Easy... you just need more torque! Get a supercharger or go the cheap route and just install some n2o (nitrous) but bottles are for babies so a blower would be best. Yes you will break stuff but that's what happens when you wanna do burnouts and other fun stuff!

When it doesn't hop I can get em going pretty quick I've got new 295 tires and they grip pretty good on the dry pavement but when it hops it seems a lot harder to get em going fast.

I removed my overload spring as well so I might try putting it back thanks
