stoping wheel hop

I enjoy racing my truck from time to time...lol But on a more serious note my 60ft times are not what they should be.with slicks the wheel hop can get so bad i have sheared off the lug nuts on the drivers side twice..the real problem is that i want the truck to keep the driveablity that i grew up with driving ford pickups..I was thinking about slapper bars or building a four link..but with so many smart people in here i just wanted to ask..cant spend lots..(on a fixed income) but if anyone has picts. or ideas please let me know..thanks bill

Some long ladder bars, in the neighborhood of 36", and a set of housing floaters will help. A four link also works well but to work the best would require doing away with the leaf springs and replacing them with coilovers, a bit more spendy.

the cheapest way ive found to get rid of wheel hop,is to take a set of them old time slaper bars and run them upside down and backwards and adjust them so that the rubbersnubber is tight to the top rear of the spring i know it sounds crazy but it works and run ya around 30 bucks.
