simple ignition system

I have an 87 F 250 with a 460 in it starts and runs great when its warmed up when its cold not so
previous owner overrode ignition switch w/ push button

I'd like to put a simple switch to the coil and utilize a push button startany ideas on how to wire this up?

wouldn't start the other day and I put a direct wire to the coil after checking for spark with the existing ignition and finding none and it lit right off

why not replace the $15 piece that is broken in the column and have it start with the key?
