Well now that's interesting. Notice the water pump. That indicates a 239 but the carb is a larger carb. I wonder what the story is on this engine.
The transmissions also has the parking brake drum indicating it came out of a larger trcuk.

Yes that is the one I am taking about. Also in auto parts they had a manual on 46 to something

They used that style water pump on the larger trucks in 55 and 56 but its not the same water pump as the 239. a 239 water pump will not bolt to a 272 front cover and a 272 wp will not bolt to a 239 front cover
