1970 F-600

I am in the process of buying a 1970 F-600 with a 330 cid with a 4 speed with 2 speed rear..

Does anyone know where I might be able to get parts?..Carb for one..

Truck is in overall good shape for it's age...

Carb parts are still available. If you have a good independent parts store or a NAPA near you I'd try them first. I'd suggest you avoid the big national chains as they are pretty much worthless for anything bigger than an F350. For other things like brake parts I'd check around for a good truck spring shop. Most of them also carry brake and suspension parts. It may take them a bit to find it but the stuff is out there.

There are TWO different 330 engines: 330 M/D & 330 H/D. Very few parts interchange!

The 4th digit of the VIN is the engine code. 1966/72: C = 330 M/D // D = 330 H/D.

Dependeing on which 330 engine the truck has, the carb could be a Ford or Holley 2V.

As original: The triangular shaped carb ID tag was bolted on the airhorn. The code will be similar to these examples: C9HF-A or D0TF-A.

Brake parts. A PITA to look up as there are four different front/rear brake sizes. New drums for any of these brake sizes are almost non existant.

Post all the codes from the Warranty Plate, which is located on the left door face below the latch, and I'll decode them for you.

Need parts? Just ask...I'll see what's available, post what I find and who has them.

The net HP @ RPM is listed on the Warranty Plate, which will also have the maximum GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) listed.

And...the codes for the trans and front (1970 and later) & rear axle, type of upholstery material, color, and other stuff including the city where the truck was ordered from.

I decoded a members N750 plate info yesterday.

The truck has a 361 2V FT engine: 182 (net) HP @ 3800 RPM / 24,000 lbs. GVWR.

Happy New Year to you and yours.
