Ok glad to hear you located a pattern set, HIO posted a pic of the mods you have to make to a Bronco set to get them to work, if the jig idea does not work out.
Hey guys, I just joined and have a '64. I bought a bumper off of craigslist a few days ago and it had the '73-'79 brackets on it. I threw them on eBay before joining regrettably as I need the '64 brackets. Here's the link if it helps someone:
The Bronco brackets won't work unfortunately. They aren't long enough. I've got a set of those that I could adapt I guess.
Really? I couldda told you that. In fact, I showed you the mods in a picture back on page one that are required to adapt the Bronco brackets. Did you even look at the pictures I posted?
Easy HIO, I did look at your pictures and I appreciate your input. Another forum member loaned me his and I copied them. I powder coated them for him and took them back to him. In fact, we used his for a pattern, built a jig and now we reproduce them. I want an original set to lay beside my reproductions when I offer them for sale. I don't "need" these originals, I "want" them. I've already mounted my bumper with my first set of brackets and I've improved on the originals in that my brackets allow the installer to raise or lower the bumper as needed for appearance. We did that by elongating the mounting holes a little more than the original Ford pieces.
As you can see, I am helping myself, ya know. And I'm helping everyone else out there who can't find originals. I sell my reproduction for 105.00 a pair. Add 25.00 if you want them powder coated black.
Thanks for your input and the photos of your modified brackets. By the way, if anyone wants a reproduction bull bar or roll bar, we are offering those as well.

I noticed your brackets didn't sell. How much do you want for them ?
Thanks
I didn't see this until tonight, they are relisted as of yesterday and the reserve is $90 plus shipping. Seem to be getting some more action this time around, we'll see...
Evam350 - We get 200 plus freight on the bull bars. They are exact reproductions EXCEPT that we don't drill the fog light holes in them. If fog lights aren't mounted, the holes are open and allow moisture into the tubes. We've found several originals that have rusted at the bottom of the uprights. We even found one that had frozen hard enough to fracture the tubing. We just ordered new dies for the round tube. The old dies had a lot of miles on them and we want these to be perfect, so we opted to buy new dies. It'll be a few weeks before the dies get here and the newest batch of bars are ready.
Great news today ! A fellow enthusiast had an extra set of brackets that I was able to trade him out of. They are even bolted to an original Ford bumper that could be straightened if you had to. These will be perfect for displaying beside my reproductions.
