I took apart my axle and hub to fix a leak. Now it's time to put the axle cover back on and fill it. I was looking for the fill hole, but all I see is a hole in the drivers side of the axle about 1/2 the way up the axle but it's blocked. I'm worried that it is the fill hole with a broken off bolt. I have a 92 f350. Any ideas if that's what I'm looking at?
The fill plug has a 3/8" square indented into it, it's probably full of crap and looks like a broken bolt, clean it up and see if it appears. Other option is to poor your fluid in threw the breather line to the recomended amount.

If so, how do I fix that?
Yes, that's the fill plug. You're supposed to use a 3/8" drive ratchet (without socket) and put the square drive into the square hole in the plug.
