The previous owner definitely did a lot of his own custom work and swapped alot out I was told, I'm still getting to know my way around this engine and will definitely investigate to find out more were the factory location is in case the problem continues ..

It's way down low on the pass side front corner of the block. Pretty much where you have your grounds now, only way underneath.

Grounds are nothing to mess with, or ignore. The problems are not always immediately obvious either, as in the green wire here. Current can be drawn through gearboxes, wheel bearings, radiators, and throttle cables and cause all kinds of $$$ issues.

Yeah... those battery cables being connected to the alternator bracket like that is a sub-optimal configuration... too many possible points of failure, and you need to rely on the corrosion between the bolt (holding the alternator in) and block not getting bad enough to cause problems... battery cables directly to the block is much preferred...
