IIRC, SD and Excursion frames are slightly different in the rear and the hitches are different part numbers and not interchangeable.

Agreed. Put that on an Ex and it will angle down.

Neither of these front end parts are mine, but seem like decent deals.

Jeremy, That is a very good point. The first one has the chain hook plate on the horizontal while the second one has them vertical, I know the EXs have the horizontal style and most (if not all SD trucks) use the vertical style. Hmmmm. I wonder if he has a part number on it? For a hundred bucks it's a smoking deal!

Well I'm unaware of any hitch receiver that is interchangeable between the F series and the Ex (though they can be bolted up). If the first one is off a 00 F250, then I'm assuming it will angle down if it's bolted to an Excursion.

Just flip it over when you install it and it will angle up, problem solved!

Well, I'm going to contact that guy today and see why he had it. I assume it did NOT work correctly on his application. My hitch pin hole is stretched so I'd love to put a new one on here, especially OEM and it's only about an hour and a half away.

Yes, it's possible he meant he bought it for his 00 F250 and it didn't work. As long as its solid, that's a good price. You could always weld some steel with 5/8ths holes in it over the sides of your existing hitch if you don't find one and want to repair it.

The part number on the receiver hitch is: bc34-19d521-a

Looks like it's for an '08-'14 Superduty. I can't find any information whether or not it will mount to the Excursion or even other year Superduties. Not sure if I want to spend $100 and drive 3 hours to find out.
