Question

Roller or not?

Would a 302 from a 1987 Mercury grand marquis be a roller engine? or not? I can get the entire car. Would this be a good fuel injected candidate for a high performance rebuild for a truck or car?

not sure about the roller cam but I do know that when you slap the truck manifolds to them they wake up big time.....

Look at the firing order if it is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 then it is a HO engine with a roller cam.
If the firing order is the standard 302 then the answer is no.

The roller cams only in the 5.0 HO mustangs. The stock 87 grand marquis has a 150hp.

Would the entire car still be worth 400.00. It runs, but does not go into overdrive.
