What is the best way to go about adding remote keyless entry to my truck. It already has power door locks. Any certain kits that you recommend? I have installed alarms and power door locks before but never to a vehicle that already has power locks. I am sure it is just splicing into the wires of the lock motors. But i wanted to know if anyone has done this and what brand or kit did you use. Thanks.
I found a 99 Mercury Grand Marquis at the junk yard and pulled the entry modual and keypad out of it. All of it located in the driver's side door panel. Bonus was it also had the FOBs too!
With some wiring interfacing and figuring out the keypad mount(if you really want it) you can have a factory Ford keyless entry system. The system also controls the power window auto down feature too.
I have a 1995 F-150 that came with a remote entry. The FOBs do not work. What do I needed to get the system working again. Is it a big deal to get new FOBs to work with an existing system?
