Tailgate Guts

Will the linkage from a 2000 tailgate work in a 08 thru 2015 tailgate? I know I would have to get a new latch.

I would think there all the same, except for the outside pieces to attach for the different years.

Thanks for the response!! Thats what I'm thinking, I'm buying a new bare tailgate in a few weeks so I'll find out for sure then.
