Pull the covers..... Ill bet you have some bent push rods
I was told it was my ipr or a high pressure oil leak..Kevin the master diesel tech came out and looked at it and he said with running hid computer on my truck the only thing that was shown was a high pressure or leak ..could the ipr do this or a bent push rod?
Or maybe an o-ring leak after putting the heads and oil rails back on?
Standpipes, dummy plugs, etc?
I made sure all that was tight and torqued to spec and put on proper putting the motor back together I took my time torqued everything down to spec and double checked everything but maybe your right I sure hope not though really don't wanna have to tear back into her
We'll that low of ICP you need to start the troubleshoot with verify Base oil pressure maybe you did and I missed it
You will pull oil filter cap crank watch the housing fill it should do it fairly fast
Then
Change the IPR
It may have been damage when the screen was ripped and damage inside it
Also verify crank RPM
SHOULD BE 150+
And don't do extended cranking like that. 1 min tops then let cool for 30 min then do it again and if it won't fire and run then more crank is pointless till problem found
I had identical problems to what your describing. I went the swaptronics route because changing an IPR was something I could easily perform in my driveway (as opposed to HPOP, Injectors, stand pipes, etc.)
When I pulled my IPR the screen was damaged. I performed a bench test on the IPR and nothing, it would not close. After a little brake cleaner, it freed up and started working intermittently. So I just changed it, no problems with HPO since.
My guess is that if the screen was compromised, the IPR had or has debris in it. I would change the IPR. Relatively cheap, can be done fairly quickly, and IMHO, you need a new one anyway.
