My friend has a 1999 F250, the engine went bad he bought one from a "friend" that runs a wrecked parts place, that was supposed to have come from a 2000 F250. But we have found it actually came from a F150. Instead of un hooking the wiring harness they cut it on the engine side.
Now for the question will we be able to put this motor in his 250 with some of the sensors being different and the wiring harness not having enough connections or will we also have to get the computer from a 150?
whats so hard about swapping your original harness to the new engine? Ive done that. I had to because the engine was 3 years newer, and Ford changed a lot of things during that time. also had to swap the lower and upper intake as well. but before you do anything compare the engines. I know on the later trucks the oil filter is in the back where the 150 engines have the oil filter in the front. theres quite a few differences as well.
