The 75 F250 I bought has an optional oil bath air cleaner.
The snorkel end of this air cleaner should have a square flexible tube(currently missing) that connects the air cleaner snorkel to a plastic piece that attaches to the radiator support and grabs fresh air from the front of the truck.
The flexible tube can be purchased from LMC for short $$.
I need the plastic part that mounts on the radiator support.
What is this called, does anyone reproduce them/where can I get one?
its a 360 2 barrel, 1975 F250 4x4, C4 with full time 4WD
Thanks
Tbruz
I don't think I've ever seen that air cleaner option in my life and I'm old I think the best course if you can get Numbers Dummy (One our finest members BTW) to post the actual parts break down for that option and the corresponding part number to see if it transfers to the non-oil bath air cleaner for the duct mounted to the rad support .. if the snorkel on the rectangle tube the plastic transition for a non-oil bath air cleaner will probably be made to work .. For that matter it may be the same part in which case you probably can get one at any good junk yard ..

I don't think they're reproduced, but there are a few on eBay, and probably some in the junkyards...

Oil bath air cleaner was an option. Popular for farm/ranch type work trucks or otherwise dusty conditions. I have one in my garage... no plenum though.

I guess I should have clarified on a 360 or 390 .. I've seen them on the 330,352 and the 391 and like you said on mostly farm vehicles ..

Here's a very low mileage (a little over 8,000) '73 with a 360 and oil bath air filter.
I've seen a few of the oil bath equipped trucks but I don't recall seeing a '73-'76 with the ducting. '77 -up with the 351M-400 did have the ducting though.
I've seen plenty of oil bath air cleaners, but never seen one with the ducting. Maybe that part gets trashed easily and is discarded? Or is it perhaps a CA only thing?
Last Ford I had with an oil bath air cleaner was a '61 F100... it had no preheater at all and when I tried going up a long hill on a c-o-l-d Kansas morning about 1976, it kept dying on me - tried 3-4 times to get up there and just wouldn't go. Turned out the intake air was so cold by the time it got through the venturi the gas was liquefying out in the manifold. Fabbed up a temporary housing around the top of the air filter and ran a VW preheater hose from there down to just back of the exhaust manifold and never had another problem with it. Love to have THAT truck back...
