Oil pressure
i spent 20 years on the line at a ford dealer, so iv'e seen lots of plugged screens. iv'e also seen lots of customers who just wanted it fixed as reasonably as possible. in those cases, i slid in a new set of bearings and a new pump and never once had one come back. occasionally there'd be one with a scuffed piston. in those cases i told the owners to run them, and they did, sometimes for another 100k miles. in either case, it was a "fix" not a repair, but in many cases, thats all that was needed to make everyone happy. for as cheap as a set of bearings is, no way i'd put the pan back on without a new set.

What bearings are you referring to - rod bearings or main bearings?
