Harpoon Mod!

I did this mod on my 2001 CC SD it was nice to be able to fill the tank completely, and not keep dribbling fuel in the tank.

Question! Has anyone done this on the newer trucks?

Just picked up my 2015 F-250 and I find myself trying to get every drop I can in my 26 gallon shot glass.

Welcome to guzzle's In-tank Harpoon Mod Web Page

I did the same on my 7.3, but not needed on these. Can fill tank up into neck no problem. Plus it has 37g tank (long bed) so no need to get every drop.

Might want to invest is a Titan or TransferFlow fuel tank or in bed transfer tank/toolbox

I pooned my 2003 and 2005 6.0's.... Not needed on the 2011-2015's. Still foams up a little, but even after the first shut off you can only get 1/2 gal. more in before it's at the top of the filler neck.

FWIW, I have a long bed too... And I keep several 5 gal. cans filled up to have around as well. Which I take with me when I leave town on trips. One of the reasons I have them, is we get fuel points for grocery shopping and I can pump up to 35 gal. at the reduced price. I don't like to run down to "empty" but I want to take advantage of the discount, which sometimes is up to $1 a gal. off. An AUX tank or a larger replacement tank would be nice, but it is an un-necessary expense at the moment.

Have not heard anybody talk about harpooning the fuel tank in years. As mentioned, no reason to bother with this version of the trucks. Spend your money/time on other mods

None of us like the money for one or even an AUX tank so I feel your pain.
