Intro and looking

First of all I want to introduce myself. New member here. Huge fan of the fat fendered fords. Im looking for a 1953-1955 f100. Not really interested in the condition of the body as I have a nice cab from another truck I was gonna build but I sold it. I just need a truck or at least a frame with a matching NC title. I've been looking for a while and can't find one without depleting my funds. So if anyone here has one or knows where one is for sale please let me know. Thanks and I look forward to hanging out here on this forum with yall.

Welcome! So you are collecting parts already, good start. Is your plan to find a project truck or one that runs and drives for resto?

Well I've had a couple of these trucks over the last 15 years but with everything else going on I have never restored one of them. I sold the trucks but now I'm ready to get started restoring one. I have lots of parts from over the years so all I'm needing is a frame with a matching NC title. I already have my drivetrain and heidts mustang II kit. Thanks

This guys business is called "johnnys F100's". He's kinda pricey, but has everything you could possibly want for a 53-56 f100

Not sure how the DMV works in NC but here in CA the ID plate on the glove box door is what is needed to register a vehicle of this vintage.

Since these old trucks are now into an international arena with laws being differing among countries and even states, I believe I would opt to be certain the frame and title serial numbers matched. I would want something that would be accepted as legal anywhere and I believer frame number is the one that is universally recognized. This, before I would put any serious monies or efforts into a project. JMHO.
