Head studs

Can head studs be swapped out one for one? Want to stud my engine with out pulling heads. 95'000 miles

its been done successfully, i don't think i would call it a good idea.
I guess you could try it, and plan on doing it the right way in the future.

Pulling the heads isn't exactly difficult or time consuming if you have the tools.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.Why would you take the chance and cause more problems. If you have a gasket failure than sure change them but I see no need. It isn't a race motor so I wouldn't change them at all.

The main problem are the clearances to remove the bolts. The studs are longer so going back in with the studs would be more difficult.
