AFE vs MBRP

Since I am going to have the truck torn down to have the head gaskets replaced I'm going to go ahead and put a turbo back exhaust with a CAT delete in also. Debating now which to put in? I have it down to the AFE Mach Force 4" or the MBRP 4". Looking for thoughts on either of these two systems.

I have the full MBRP turbo-back Dual-Tail system & I get compliments on it's looks but mostly sound to this day. Been installed 3.5 years & still looks new (btw...I do have a Cat-Delete Pipe from MBRP)....

I have been running the AFE for years. I don't use a muffler though.

I decided to go with the MBRP 4" S/S Turbo Back with muffler, but no Cat. Hope it sounds as good as it looks!

Nope. Have the truck at the shop getting some work done. So as long as the motor is out, gonna have it installed there. And I decided to keep the muffler because the wife didn't want it to be obnoxiously loud. My neighbor has a 6.0 with a 4" straight pipe, and it drives her nuts! Lol

see that's where I am at. I want the exhaust yet the muffler or a high performance replacement muffler will be necessary as I don't want her to complain after all its her truck haha.

Just buy the kit with the muffler. If you want it louder, they make a muffler delete pipe for about $75.

Schmitty, I have the MBRP stainless, no kitty turbo back 4" system on mine. I noticed LESS whistle then stock and it's quiet. I like quiet since I regularly tow a fifth wheel trailer with wifey on board. I know she'd be bitchin' if she had to listen to a loud throaty growl for hours on end. Me on the other hand wouldn't mind...

Are you running a Super Duty or an Excursion? I have an Excursion. The kits are a little different.
