Ok so I have this in my truck and it's not starting now getting no spark. Anybody have an idea for replacement or wiring so I can run without it possibl
Thanks for the help
I haven't ever seen one of those but most folks on here like Pertonix to replace points. I run an Assault Racing HEI style distributer that you can buy for about the same cost as putting a Pertronix kit into your old distributor. If you switch to the HEI style you'll need a new set of ignition wires.
This one is slightly cheaper and probably the same as the one from Assualt Racing.

You just need a 12V wire that is turned on and off with the ignition key. I don't quite remember how to bypass the resistor wire that cuts down the voltage for points. But since you already had some type of electronic ignition you might not need to do that. Or you can search in this section for "Pertronix conversion" or something like that and the wiring change will be explained.
Look to see if there is a pink wire under the dash going to the ignition switch. It's a resistive wire used to cut down the voltage for points systems. I think you can tap into it ahead of the pink, closer to the ignition switch, and run a new wire from there to the distributer with 12V.
You can also open up the gap on your spark plugs to .045" with the HEI distributor. They can actually fire up to about .080" but that is way more than needed and will lead to faster wearing plugs because of the higher voltage levels.
Here's an even better deal with wires included:

The ez to install go with one of the Pertonix units. Other units like the HEI dizzy you may have add a carb spacer to change carb & tranny linkage and more work then you want to deal with. And could be over your head to installing.
