Electronic Ignition Upgrade
This upgrade is for an '86 460 (carburetted) I am installing. The distributor has 2 plugs, not one. I need and appreciate help to properly get this installed and running. I suspect the wiring may have changed between Duraspark and '86!
The entire harness has been removed from the donor truck, so I can properly attach wires as needed.
Can someone point me to a diagragm for an '86 460 electronic ignition?

The distributor you may have is for what I believe would be the TFI ignition. This was the one after the Duraspark and used the "square" coil. I can't help you along with the wiring on that one, but maybe check/drop a pm to FBPete.

You can use the TFI coil and the wiring from 79 83 model and replace the wire on the run circuit with a regular wire (replacing the 6 volts the engine would normally run on) to a full 12 volts eliminating the can coil which overheat sometimes causing problems. You would be cooking with about 7k more volts to fire the killer engine I know you will have. The TFI out performs the vaunted FM hei setup on the street or strip.
